Tuesday 1 November 2011

Tuesday 1st November.

I've had a very busy couple of days.
Work and keeping on top of all the things that need to be done.

Who can believe its November already?

Gave my torts a bath and a weigh at the weekend. I'm going to try  to keep them going a few more weeks before a start the hibernation process. Because of the mild weather there are still plenty of weeds about to feed them on. Plus one of my females is digging around as if she's going to lay.

Have managed to squish a couple of craft things in too.A necklace and bracelet made out of buttons. I'll post a picture soon.

  2. Here in the US, letting captive tortoises hibernate is risky because mice always seem to find them. What do you do to protect them while the sleep off the winter?

PS - My father was a herpetologist on the side, and I grew up with turtle tanks all over the apartment, but wound up loving tortoises.
